Alain Cailbourdin came to this Loire valley from Paris, growing sauvignon blanc grapes on the north bank of the Loire River across from Sancerre. Here, climate and soils enable him to create a wonderful wine, perfect for grilled fish in an herb marinade, lemon baked chicken or the regional goat cheese “Sel sur Cher.” Tasty now and it will age in your cellar.
