Wine Bottle Grab
This is a great fundraising idea to incorporate into your gala or silent auction event. Here’s how:
Step 1 — Solicit wine donations from members
The month leading up to the event, ask members of your organization to donate a bottle of wine for the wine bottle grab. We suggest that you set a minimum value of $25 per bottle.
Step 2 — Wrap bottles
Before the event, gather volunteers to wrap each bottle of wine. The bottles could have a simple kraft or white bag tied with a decorative ribbon or a more ornate metallic bag. The important part is that they are fully closed–including the top–since the top seal of a wine bottle is often embossed with that winery’s distinctive logo. You don’t want anyone sneaking a peek!
