Family and Wine?

Wineguys Radio and the Blanchard Brothers

Listen now to Segment 1 of 4 (Aired Live the day before Easter)

Keith and WIlliam welcome the Blanchard Borthers (James and Mark).. No they are not some old school Bank Robbers, just brothers in the Biz!! As children, these two brothers were so closely associated with one another, they were often known simply as the Blanchard Boys. But as the brothers grew older, their lives lead them on different paths. James went to the Air Force Academy, became a military officer and helicopter pilot, and proceeded to start a family. Mark studied poetry, moved to California, and pursued aspirations of working in Wine Country. As they both discovered a mutual passion for fine wines, the Blanchard Boys came together again under this dream. This family business is the vision of two brothers who wish to share rare, hand-crafted, artisan wines with the world.  Please visit them at www.blanchardfamilywines.com

The proportion of red wines has doubled over the last two decades and now represents one third of Austria’s vineyards, which total 46,000 hectares.  Visit  http://www.austrianwine.com/ for more info

Keith, William, Jordan, Clif Louis and Jordan Kivelstadt talk Wines of Austria.  ” Austrian wines offer the perfect accompaniment to an array of dishes and food styles, from Central European to Mediterranean cuisine, right through to Asian and Oriental dishes, Ethnic and Fusion food types. This is due to their compact and elegant body, and fresh style; the result of climatic conditions”.

“Austrian wine is firmly established in the culinary centre of traditional Austrian food. Austria is the culinary epicentre of Central Europe, and combines the influences of the hereditary countries of the former Austrian Dual Monarchy in its “Viennese Cuisine”. Favourite, classic combinations are listed in the “Austrian Food & Wine” brochure”. – AustrianWine.com, Visit them at www.AustrianWine.com
