Cream Puff Cake
This dessert is super easy and always a crowd-pleaser. Because it’s served cold it’s perfect in the summertime and delicious with fresh berries or bananas.
Crust
In a sauce pan bring to a boil:
1 cup water
1 stick butter
Pinch of salt
Remove from heat and beat in:
1 cup of flour
4 eggs (one at a time)
Pour batter into 13 x 9 inch greased baking pan. Bake in preheated 425o oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 35 minutes more. Remove from oven and cool.
Topping
Mix together and pour over crust:
Two small boxes of instant chocolate pudding
3 cups of milk
1 8 oz block of cream cheese
(softened at room temperature)
Top with cool whip and drizzle with chocolate.
Top with fresh sliced bananas or strawberries.
Consider adding liqueur (Amaretto?)
to whipped cream or pudding mixture
