We tasted the 2010 Benton Lane PInot Gris, Classic Clean, Fresh Pinot Gris that has a ton of character and a fantastic underlying base of acidity that all will love as an aperitif and or with a beautiful chicken salad. Throw on top some freshly sliced yellow bell pepper and a granny smith apple sliced and diced up… yummy, pour us a glass please!
Also the 2009 Benton Lane Pinot Noir which in our mind is a bit of a fuller body style Pinot Noir. Love blueberries?… they jump out of the glass in a fantastic, yummy and OMG way. This wine will get your attention really fast with all the beautiful fruits that come out of the glass and yes the acidity is here. Want wine with your food? Get some Benton Lane 2009 Pinot Noir.
Wineguys TV: Keith Miller sits down with Jeff Lott to chat everything La Rural which is a Vineyard in Argentina. The wine is Rutini 2009 Chardonnay. Bit about Rutini: Don Felipe Rutini, an Italian immigrant from the winemaking region of Le Marche, founded bodegas La Rural in 1885. Don Felipe, who came to Argentina with a degree in agriculture from the Real Scuola de Ascoli Pisceno, had his eye on quality from the start. One of the first varietals he planted was Cabernet Sauvignon, in the Maipu vineyard, where La Rural grows Cabernet Sauvignon for Trumpeter today.

WineGuys TV Episode 732: Santa Julia Winery, Keith recently sat down with Julia Zuccardi to to talk everything Santa Julia… Yes the Winery is named after her. How sweet is that !!!! She talks about being sustainable, which in turn helps support the Santa Julia Family of 700 plus people. Visit them at www.SantaJulia.com
Santa Julia is a clear example of the combination of the quality and diversity of Mendocinian soils, resulting in modern wines. Among its diverse range of grape varieties we find the classic Malbec, Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as other rather unconventional varieties in Argentina such as Viognier, Pinot Grigio or Tempranillo. Created in honor of the only daughter of Jose Zuccardi, Santa Julia represents our commitment to achieve the highest of quality standards; developing sustainable policies that contribute to environmental care while being useful to the community we live in.
